The Galician Food Cluster, with the support of the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), is developing throughout 2025 a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the internationalization of Galician companies in the food and beverage sector. This project, framed within the “Galicia Exporta Organismos Intermedios 2025” grants and co-financed by the European Union (Galicia ERDF 2021–2027 programme), is structured around several key actions:
Inbound Trade Missions: The programme includes the organization of three strategic actions aimed at attracting international buyers, focused on the North American market (held in March), as well as the British Isles and Central Europe. These missions facilitate direct contact between our companies and strategic importers, fostering new business opportunities through B2B meetings and, in some cases, visits to production facilities in Galicia to strengthen trust and understanding of production processes.
International Competitive Intelligence: To provide the sector with analytical tools, the project includes a subscription to the Innova Market Insights platform. This sectoral database service offers cutting-edge competitive intelligence, enabling Galician companies to access key information on global trends, consumer habits, and market dynamics, thus supporting data-driven decision-making for international expansion.
Through this set of initiatives, the Galician Food Cluster reaffirms its commitment to the sector’s growth, providing companies with both high-value business contacts and the technological and knowledge resources needed to compete successfully in international markets.
