The Galician Food Cluster, with the support of the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), organizes an inbound trade mission to the Japanese market, a strategic initiative aimed at boosting the internationalization of Galician companies in the food sector.
This action seeks to facilitate direct contact between Galician companies and importers and distributors from Japan, a high-value and highly complex market. The initiative enables the establishment of new business relationships, the exploration of specific distribution channels, and a better understanding of the preferences and quality standards required by Japanese consumers.
The mission is structured into two formats to maximize impact. Modality A allows for individual B2B meetings between Galician companies and Japanese buyers, facilitating direct negotiation. Modality B complements this experience with technical visits to production facilities in Galicia, allowing Japanese buyers to see production processes, applied technology, and food safety standards firsthand, thereby strengthening confidence in the Galician offer.
This initiative is part of the program for joint international promotion actions of Galician companies (Galicia Exporta Organismos Intermedios), co-financed by the European Union under the Galicia ERDF 2021–2027 programme. The project is promoted by the Galician Food Cluster (Ref. IG421A.2025.000.000032).
