The Smart Sensors 4 Agri-food (SS4AF) platform was born in April 2017 to support agri-food companies in their leap towards industry 4.0 and the agri-food sector in their evolution towards an interconnected, resilient and intelligent system in Europe.
Today it is made up of 20 regular members and 22 partner organizations from 16 regions of Europe.
Objectives of SS4AF
- Creation of a platform between agri-food clusters and organizations that provide technology or digital solutions, relevant RTOs and related interest groups, to reduce the barriers that agri-food companies have to access and implement the latest technologies linked to digitization
- Establishment of a networking network of living labs, where technologies can be demonstrated and tested
- Promote collaborations between clusters and RTOs to create a zone of trust between the sectors involved, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and accelerating the introduction of technologies
