Galicia Food Award for the sectoral projection reward institutions and organizations that are distinguished by their work in the support of business initiatives, entrepreneurship and innovation in the sector. Also, the trajectory and the work developed by institutions located outside and inside Spain that are distinguished by their work in favor of the promotion of quality and image of Galician food and drink products.

In the 2017 edition, the granted company was ANFACO-CECOPESCA. It is an independent business organization, founded in 1904, whose work focuses on the representation and defense of the interests of more than 230 companies, thus forming an authentic cluster in the sea-food sector, being its central focus in Galicia, where it is based.

ANFACO develops an important activity in favour of the processing and canning seafood sector, representing this industry before the different administrations and organizations and providing specialized services with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of the sector. CECOPESCA is a private state-level technology centre integrated in ANFACO, consolidated as a reference center at national and international level in the marine and food sector, becoming a driving force for business R&D& I.
